l know there are racy themes in Hamlet, but am wondering if they're not too obvious in the film.
Would the 1980 film of Hamlet (with Patrick Stewart) be appropriate to show in a Christian High School
My opinion is it should be fine, but I would suggest watcing it first and deciding, you know your students better than I would. Perhaps send a letter home to the parents discussing the film and let the parents who are cool with it sign a permission slip.
The Laurence Olivier version is pretty tame and still very good.
Most people hate the Gibson version but I like the warrior side to his Hamlet, my highschool showed that version to us.
