For a class project, I am using popular songs to make a musical of Shakespeare is Hamlet. I am having trouble finding songs for some of the scenes. Any ideas? l especially need a song for Hamlet is monologue, the scene where he kills Polonius, and the scene where Hamlet is holding the skull of his old jester. Please help!

I need help finding songs to turn Hamlet into a musical

Turning Hamlet into a musical was part of the plotline on a 1966 episode of Gilligan is Island. They put on the show for producer Harold Hecuba (Phil Silvers) and I believe they used the music to the opera Aida.

For the Yorick scene try some opera music from Rigoletto or Pagliacci -- both operas involving clowns or jesters.

I always get Impossible Dream from Man of LaMancha stuck in my head when I think of Hamlet.
